911 DoR Poster 2013

The 2013 Day of Recognition is fast approaching. Please join us at the Roseburg Airport on September 11, 2013 to remember a tragic day in our countries history and to honor and say thank you to First Responders and Veterans in Douglas County.

Roseburg Fire, Fire District No. 2, the Roseburg Police, Douglas County Sheriff and Veterans from around Douglas County will be attending. Individuals from these groups will have the opportunity to go up in a Stearman Bi-plane. Stearmen were commonly used in WWII to train pilots. If you would like a chance to go up for a ride, the VFW in Roseburg is selling tickets to raffle off one ride. The monies from the sale of the tickets will go toward the beautiful memorial they are currently building at their facility on Walnut St. in Roseburg.

Ageless Aviation Dreams is the organization that Pacific Air Comfort is proud to partner with to put on this incredible event. Ageless Aviation Dreams is a non-profit organization established and dedicated to seniors and the U.S. military Veterans living in long-term care communities that have always had a burning desire to soar like an eagle. For these “Golden” individuals we provide the opportunity to experience the thrill of an Ageless Aviation Dreams Dream Flight that includes riding in the cockpit of a Boeing Stearman, the airplane used to train many military aviators in the late thirties to early forties. For more information, please go to agelessaviationdreams.org .

See you there!
