Cash Incentive

The Energy Trust of Oregon has released the cash incentives being offered to customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas. They are as follows:

Seal Air Leaks ($150 per home)
Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Comprehensive Home Assessment ($150 per home)
Windows – $3.50 per sq. ft. of windows installed, U-Value 0.25 or less
                            $2.25 per sq. ft. of windows installed, U-Value 0.26 – 0.30
Insulation – Each insulation incentive paid one time per home, regardless of ownership. Qualifications for existing conditions may apply.
                            $0.25 per sq. ft: Attic/ ceiling
                            $0.30 per sq. ft.: Floor, wall, knee wall, rim joist
                            $0.50 per linear foot: Boiler pipe
                            50 percent of cost, up to $100: Ducts
                                            Self installation: Attic/ ceiling, knee wall and floor insulation can be self-installed but you  
                                            MUST call the Energy Trust prior to beginning the work to receive approval.
Heat Pump – Upgrade from an electric furnace, baseboard, wall heater or ceiling heat: $450, HSPF 9.0, or greater. Upgrade a heat pump or replace non-electric heat (oil, propane, wood):$250, HSPF 9.0, or greater. Improve your existing heat pump, $250 heat pump advanced controls, installed by a certified trade ally contractor.
Ductless Heat Pump – $800 per residence, for homes with electric resistance heat.
-PTCS or CheckMe! Heat Pump Test – $150 per test, new heat pump installations only.
-Direct-Vent Gas Fireplace -$250, 70% fireplace efficiency, FE, or greater
                                                                  $200, 65-69% FE
Direct-Vent Gas Unit Heater – $100, 80% AFUE
Gas Boiler – $200, 88% AFUE, or greater
Water Heater – $125 gas tank, 0.67 Energy Factor, EF, or greater, must be Energy Star qualified
                                      $75 electric tank, 0.94 EF, or greater, and 20-year manufacturer’s warranty
                                      $35 electric tank, 0.93 EF, or greater
                                      $500 heat pump water heater, must meet Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance’s Northern Climate II Specification and replace an electric water heater.
                                            Self installation: Electric-tank water heaters can be self-installed but you  
                                            MUST call the Energy Trust prior to beginning the work to receive approval.
-Solar Water Heating –  $550 – $700, for homes heating water with gas
                                               $1,000 – $1,200, for homes heating water with electricity
-Alternative On-Site Waste-water Treatment System – $400
-Outdoor Spa Cover – $100, available from participating retailers
Solar Electric – Up to $5,000 for PGE and Pacific Power customers
Solar Water Heating – $550 – $700, for homes heating water with gas; $1,000 – $1,200 for homes heating water with electric.
Solar Pool Heating – Up to $1,500
